The beginning
My dad was a carpenter and almost everything I know about construction I learned from him. He designed and built his own home and I got to observe and participate in all phases of home building. That inspired me to design and build my own home. It was not an easy task and I learned a lot along the way. One thing is you don't have to build your own house to save on all kinds of home improvement projects. Now my kids have grown up with this knowledge and I'm hoping you will be inspired, too!
